Help Us Raise $1 Million for Children's Hospitals!

Golf Gives is about to enter its 2nd season! Make sure you are on the lookout for our Golf Gives staff at our many NGCOA Canada member courses! Every time your participate in Golf Gives you will be provided with an access code to enter the online contest to win a trip for 2 to the 2011 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club. Be sure to donate $5 to the Golf Gives program for your chance to win. For more information and a list of participating courses please visit www.golfgives.ca.


The Program: NGCOA Canada will run hit the green challenges at NGCOA Canada member courses throughout the 2010 season. Golfers will see volunteers at a par 3 encouraging golfers to donate $5 to the Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive For Kids in support of the Mike Weir Foundation and the Children's Miracle Network. If golfers hit the green, they receive a sleeve golf balls. All participants will be eligible to win a trip for 2 to the 2011 Mike Weir Miracle Golf rive For Kids Annual Fundraising event including airfare, accommodation, entry into the tournament and gala dinner.

Take A Kid To The Course Week

KIDS GOLF FREE RETURNS IN 2010! 

Take A Kid To The Course Week is returning for the 8th season! From July 5 - July 11, 2010, participating courses will be offering special promotions including one FREE round of golf to kids under the age of 16 when accompanied by a paying adult. Kids play for free and can then enter a national contest to win fabulous prizes!

How can I participate?

Developed by the NGCOA Canada to encourage families and juniors to take up the game of golf, this cross-Canada campaign is designed to illustrate how easy it is to improve both your score and your relationship with your children by bringing them out to the golf course.

HUNDREDS of courses will offer FREE golf to kids under the age of sixteen who are accompanied by a paying adult during the Take A Kid to the Course Week program taking place July 5 -11, 2010.

In addition to the free golf, many courses will offer additional programs such as junior clinics, free range balls, free junior club rentals and parent/child tournaments.

Simply follow these easy steps to book your tee time today!

1) Visit www.kidsgolffree.ca and view the Participating Courses tab to view the listing of courses in your area.
2) Should the course you are interested in have an ‘Additional Programs’ link, be sure to click on it to view the extra programs they are offering or to check if there are any restrictions on their offer.
3) Call your selected course to book your tee time. Be sure to let them know you are participating in the Take A Kid To The Course Week program!
4) Enjoy your family time and remember to HAVE FUN!

Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA)

The Canadian Junior Golf Association hosts events across Western Canada. The association is dedicated to providing high level competition and instruction to Canada's junior golfers. The CJGA competitive developmental program begins at the age of five where beginning golfers are introduced to the game through the CJGA Junior Linkster Program. The program continues to reflect the appropriate skill level and progression of junior golfers through its Junior Program that offers over 80 tour stops across Canada and includes regional, provincial, and national championships.

Many of the 2010 events will be hosted at NGCOA Canada member courses. The first event will held at Northview Golf & Country Club and will be a North America Cup Qualifier.  The second event, a Junior Worlds Qualifier will be held at Hazelmere Golf Course in Surrey, BC.  For more information on the CJGA visit www.cjga.com .
